Advisory board

The NEEDS advisory board is composed of recognized experts from different scientific disciplines covering the central research areas coming together in this project. It is intended to monitors the scientific progress of the project, provide non-binding advice to guide the development of the project, discuss project outcomes, and avenues for future research. The multidisciplinary advisory board comprises the following renowned experts:

Mark J Nieuwenhuijsen PhD is Research Professor in Environmental Epidemiology at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health, Spain. He is a leading expert in environmental exposure assessment, epidemiology, and health risk/impact assessment with a strong focus and interest on healthy urban living.

 

Basile Chaix PhD is Professor at the Pierre Louis Institute of Epidemiology and Public Health, France. He is a leading expert in geographic environmental context, mobility behavior, and health status using sensors and tracking technologies.

 

 Rory O’Connor PhD is a Professor of health psychology. He is director of the Suicidal Behaviour Research Laboratory at the University of Glasgow, the leading suicide and self-harm research group in Scotland.
